Ranking of the most valuable Indonesian brands 2024
In 2024, Telkom Indonesia took the fourth spot of the most valuable brands in Indonesia, with a brand value of approximately 3.5 billion U.S. dollars. Telkom Indonesia, also known as PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, is an Indonesian state-owned holding company engaging in telecommunications, information, and technology services.
Key business segments
Telkom Indonesia operates through different business segments such as mobile, consumer, enterprise, and wholesale and international business (WIB). Since 2010, Telkom Indonesia has recorded an upward trend of total revenue. In the mobile segment, it owned the largest market share in the country, which is supported by a growing number of 4G base transceiver station (BTS) since 2014.
Main competitors
Even though Telkom Indonesia is the largest and oldest Indonesian telecommunications company with a total revenue in the trillion Indonesian rupiah figures, there are two other major players in the industry. The first is Indosat Ooredoo, owned by a Qatari international telecommunications company, which witnessed a plunge in its operating revenue in 2018. The second is XL Axiata, owned by a Malaysian telecommunications conglomerate Axiata Group Berhad, with increasing values of gross revenue since 2016.
